TeleBright targets small biz telecom

Martin Kady II

Joining the growing field of companies that think they can hold the hands of small businesses choosing telecom services, Rockville-based TeleBright launched its service the week of June 19.

The company's mission is similar to that of two other local companies, Simplexity and Telezoo. All three are founded on the belief that small businesses often get raw deals in shopping for local, long-distance, Internet and data connections and could save money by buying in bundles.

TeleBright will allow small businesses to shop on its Web site and do side-by-side comparison of all services, ranging from DSL to Web hosting. TeleBright will then bundle the services and help the small businesses nail down contracts with the often-confusing array of providers.

Telezoo and Simplexity, launched earlier this year, also offer services that are designed to help small and medium sized businesses navigate the confusing world of telecom offerings. The companies generally try to make money by taking commission on the overall sales at no cost to the customer.
