ROCKVILLE, Md. - UPDATE 2 Online telecom sales resource TeleBright.com today said six small business sites have inked agreements to offer cobranded telecom comparison-shopping technology. Revenue-sharing agreements were announced with BusinessFinance.com, ExpensAble, GoLinQ.com, Herndon, Va.-based MyGovClub.com, OpenAir.com and Salesforce.com. TeleBright.com President and Chief Executive Officer Chet Thaker told Washtech.com that other agreements are expected. Thaker said the new strategic partners extend his company's reach, helping it generate commission-based sales on different sites. Thaker added that the small businesses portals will be able to capitalize on their existing traffic and offer revenue-generating products that enhance their service offerings. And Thaker said portal users themselves can benefit by using his company's comparison technology to lower telecommunications costs.
Further financial details were not provided. The arrangement allows portals and sites to tap into the emerging e-commerce telecommunications market while maintaining their own brand recognition. TeleBright's online content, telecom advice and customer service department also will be available to users of the six small business sites.
More than 35 providers offer calling plans and services at TeleBright.com (telebright.com) including long distance, local, wireless, T1, Internet dial-up, dedicated service line and Web hosting.
